Peppercorns are characterized by a sharp anise aftertaste, perfect for seasoning all your marinades and meat dishes. Peppercorns were first cultivated in Brazil in the 17th century in the Bahia region. Since the 1930s, peppers have been grown in increasingly more regions and started to be exported to Europe and North America. Currently, peppers are cultivated in three main states: Para, Bahia, and Espirito Santo. The harvest takes place from July to October.
