Pimenton is a mild South American hot pepper presented by Christopher Columbus to Queen Isabella of Castile. Since the 14th century, Pimenton has been grown in the Vera region, Spain, in the heart of the Sierra de Greda mountains. This region has an exceptionally humid microclimate.
