The crust can form not only in winter and not only where it’s cold, but in the middle of the Egyptian desert crust as much as you like. We joke, white Egyptian desert salt is so called because of its unique texture, which very much resembles the well-known crust
White Egyptian desert salt was discovered by two Bedouins – a father and son – who, while digging in a certain area of the desert, stumbled upon a hidden salt quarry left by a sea that existed 70 million years ago.
At that spot, they uncovered a true treasure trove – blocks of crystalline salt, named for its otherworldly texture resembling ice crystals.
This salt is distinguished by its subtle aroma and is exceptionally dry, which means it dissolves slowly even on hot dishes. That’s why it’s particularly suitable for decorating various dishes.
It’s also a great idea for a gift, as few have seen or used salt with such a unique structure from the scorching deserts of Egypt in their kitchen.
The world of salts can be very fascinating and surprising!
