Korarima seeds are a real Ethiopian treasure! In its time, the spice reached the Venetians on the Nile and captivated them. The Venetians believed that the Garden of Eden was located at the source of the Nile. That is why this spice has acquired the name “seeds of paradise”. This unique spice, native to the Basque region, in the Ethiopian highlands, is now grown in home gardens. The spice is harvested when it is ripe, when the fruit pods of the plant begin to turn pink. These pods are then trimmed with a sharp knife to remove the dry residue from the top of the fruit. Finally, the pods are dried in the sun on bamboo hangers, thus maintaining the freshness of the seeds. To extract the “seeds of paradise”, you need to cut deep into the pod.<\/p>\n
